Who We Are
Perceptive Bookkeeping is a family owned and operated bookkeeping and bookkeeping consultancy business based in the western suburbs of Brisbane, servicing the western Brisbane and Ipswich regions with onsite and offsite services. Since 2005 we have been bookkeeping and lodging BAS for local businesses and sole traders, and have a BAS Agent registration with the Tax Practitioner Board.
We specialise in providing bookkeeping and consultation services to sole traders, small to medium businesses in construction, building and professional industries. We are experienced in BAS, Fuel tax credits, and the more recent Taxable Payment Annual Reports for those businesses in the construction and building industry.
We have been working with MYOB since 2005 and are a Certified ProAdvisor with Quickbooks Online, and a Certified Advisor with Xero.

At Perceptive Bookkeeping our aim is bookkeeping and BAS with integrity. To minimise your time spend on things like entering receipts, reconciling bank accounts, and getting ready for those ATO obligations like BAS, payroll and superannuation. This helps you to maximise your time in your business, meeting your clients and customers needs.
We do this by working with you to identify the areas of your bookkeeping processes that can be made more efficient and helping to streamline your bookkeeping requirements and procedures to get your paperwork done fast, accurately and on schedule. Having up to date books can help to make meeting your ATO obligations much less stressing, help improve your cash flow, forward planning, and money management by knowing how much your obligations will be and being well prepared. As our business name suggests, we approach our work with business owners and sole traders with a perceptive approach, with insight, observation and analytical problem solving skills.
Owner and Director Joanna, has an analytical science background and enjoys the challenge of identifying and solving problems to produce a clean, accurate, up to date, and straightforward approach to bookkeeping. This results in less money spent on accountants at tax time, and a better overall view of how your business is sitting financially more frequently, making it easier to plan ahead.
Our services are tailored to each business, to ensure that your business can run as smoothly as possible, with the minimum of interruption with regard to your paperwork. We work with your accountants to ensure we fit within their system of procedures.
